For this issue of Meet our Guest, Guest Work Agency & Guest Club Director and Founder Alana Kushnir interviewed Alex Bass. Like Alana, Alex founded an art club pre-COVID, to fill a void in the social experiences available to her demographic interested in arts and culture. Salon 21 is focused in and around the New York area and initiates alternative social pop-ups comprising of artist talks, cocktails, and shopping. Like the Guest Club, their events combine socializing and networking with an educational purpose, where attendees learn about the next generation of emerging artists and how to begin collecting.

Anaïs is a curator and art consultant based in London. She has curated exhibitions and led major commissions in Dubai, Melbourne, Paris and New York. She collaborates with collectors to build tailored, museum quality collections and is actively engaged with artists, developing opportunities for them through museum projects around the world. She has been very involved with public art and sculpture parks. Anaïs is on the board of La Pause (Marrakech) and INSPIRE, Peace Research Institute (Oslo). She holds an MA from Bard College, Centre for Curatorial Studies (NY) and regularly publishes and teaches masterclasses on contemporary art.

Maria Teresa is an arts manager from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Tavares moved to Melbourne in 2016 to undertake a Masters in Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that, she lived in Sao Paulo and worked at Videobrasil, producing numerous projects including the institution’s contemporary art biennial. She has also organised internet-based festivals for the Sergio Motta Institute in partnership with YouTube and Flickr, and worked as a gallery assistant at leading Brazilian contemporary art galleries, Galeria Nara Roesler and Casa Triangulo.
