Guest Work Agency Signs up to New Payment Solution Supporting the Australian Arts Sector

Art law and advisory firm Guest Work Agency has signed up to new payment processing platform ArtsPay.

ArtsPay is a “profit-for-purpose” payments solution that gives back to Australian artists and small arts organisations every time a customer makes a purchase using ArtsPay - either in-store or online - via the ArtsPay Foundation, an artist-led organisation.

Guest Work Agency will offer clients multiple payment methods using ArtsPay. Director and founder Alana Kushnir said she was proud to support the payment platform: “It’s a small step, but an important one. The arts sector has been hit hard by the events of the last two years, so every contribution helps”.

As described on the ArtsPay website, the company is committed to sharing a minimum of 50% of all profits with the ArtsPay Foundation. The foundation is a majority shareholder of ArtsPay and will benefit from the success of ArtsPay as it grows.

ArtsPay co-founder and CEO Marc Goldenfein told publication Startup Daily: “Over time, our mission is to become a permanent, sustainable source of funding for the arts. With support from the business community we can make a huge difference to a sector in crisis, and help it rebuild after the pandemic”.

Guest Work Agency is a boutique art law and advisory firm based in Melbourne, but international in reach. It is the first dedicated art law practice in Australia, working with artists, collectors, galleries, arts organisations, art fairs and art tech start-ups.
