Guest Work Agency’s Director and Founder, Alana Kushnir, presented on her work leading the Serpentine Legal Lab at the Research Seminar: ‘The Challenges of AI, Art, and Law’, organised by the Copyright, Art and Technology (CAT) Network, hosted at City St George’s, University of London. 

The CAT Network is a joint research and innovation initiative between Kunstsilo and the University of Agder, Norway, bringing together artists, curators, and researchers.

This event was coordinated by Professor Enrico Bonadio and PhD-candidate Siri-Helen Egeland, Academic Head of CAT project, together with Melissa Lesamana from the Kunstsilo. Other presenters included Professor Enrico Bonadio from The City Law School, Tonya Nelson, Executive Director, Enterprise & Innovation Arts Council, England

AI, Massimo Sterpi, partner Gianni & Origoni, Rome, Italy, Dr. Rebecca Swift - Senior Vice President, Creative, Getty Images. The day-long seminar focused on the ways in which arts institutions are exploring AI technologies, both as a form of creative output but also as legal challenge.

The Serpentine Legal Lab is a research programme exploring how the law can support collaboration across art, science and technology. Working with artists, curators, scholars, lawyers, legal designers and technologists, the Lab investigates legal issues and develops accessible legal solutions for the cultural sector. Read more here.
