Alana Kushnir wins Thought Leader Of The Year award At The Women In Law Awards
Guest Work Agency (GWA) Director and Founder Alana Kushnir has been named the ‘Thought Leader of the Year’ in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards 2024.
THOUGHT LEADER OF THE YEAR
The ‘Thought Leader of the Year’ category recognises a female lawyer in the Australian legal profession who has shown a long-term passion and aptitude for improving the industry.
In Alana’s submission, she focused on advocating for lawyers “to choose their own path, to work in a speciality that they are passionate about, even if it means starting your own practice from scratch.”
At Guest Work Agency, we’re proud to be an art law practice that blends a passion for cutting-edge art practices and advanced technology. Founded 10 years ago by Alana, GWA continues to play a crucial role in advising Australian and international art industry participants on cutting-edge legal issues, while also educating on the importance of the law as a commercial - rather than just defensive – tool.
Alana commented on being named as a winner of the Thought Leader of the Year 2024: “I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition, especially given the high calibre of the finalists in this category, many of whom are role models for me.”

The national awards program presents an opportunity for leading women in the legal profession to showcase their achievements, attract more clients, and propel their careers.

Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “It is always such an honour for us to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of women across Australia’s legal profession. Now in its 13th year, the Women in Law Awards has become a staple of the calendar, and Lawyers Weekly will continue to do its part to drive equity and parity across the board.”
