Kushnir to Speak on Art Law at Mandala Club Singapore
From new cultural policies and experiments with advanced technologies, to public funding cuts and a lack of legal infrastructure, contemporary art is being pushed and pulled in more directions than ever before.
Alana Kushnir will be joining Usha Chandradas, Nominated Member of Parliament, Singapore and Founder of Plural Art Mag and Art Lawyer and Founder of TRF projects Ryan Su in this discussion moderated by Curator at the National Gallery Singapore, Dr Kathleen Ditzig.
The panellists will share their experiences working closely with and supporting artists, galleries, cultural workers and institutions with regards to the law, advocacy, publishing, research and exhibition making. They will also identify challenges faced in developing a vibrant and creative arts economy and posit proposals for building socially progressive cultures and futures. This talk is organised to provide an expanded perspective on Singapore Art Week in relation to international trends.
